Sweet. Romance. Clean. Forgiveness. Loneliness. Duty. Honor. Faith. Marriage.
What to do when you are to marry someone out of duty, but you are not in love with him and he still in love with his late wife?
I enjoyed reading Princess Shelby and Prince Nikolai navigate their marriage of convenience. I was inspired by Shelby’s consistent relationship with God as well as her ability to stay true to herself, regardless of all the uncertainty in her life. As Nikolai struggles with grief and Shelby struggles to connect to her distant husband, both learn that love does not come automatically with marriage. Indeed, we can make the choice to love our spouse – or to not love them.
I appreciated how Shelby and Nikolai took the time to get to know one another before being intimate with one another. It served them and their relationship better in the long run. 💕 Refreshing in our day and age!
If you enjoy a contemporary fairy-tale about a marriage of convenience, then this is definitely a book to check out!
