So Many Books… So Little Time!

by Lisa T. Bergren

Rating: 5 out of 5.

“And in that moment, I glimpsed hope again, like a shaft of light piercing the darkness of my soul. Felt a lifting deep within, as if I’d been turned from the end of a bottomless cave, back toward the exit.”

Bourne

Welcome back for day four of my favorite series!

Written as two novellas and then bound as one book, Bourne is told from the perspective of both Gabriella and Evangelia. It picks up right where Torrent left off with the continuation of the aftermath of battle. At this point in the series, you have enjoyed getting to know Lia, but don’t truly understand her yet. This is the first time you get to hear the inner workings of her mind and find out how she truly feels about Luca Forelli, the captain of the guard.

When peace comes in the wake of battle, the people of Castle Forelli fall into a rhythm of life for over a year, but when danger comes knocking, will they be able to protect all they know and love? Tributary is unique as it changes narrative often. You get to be inside Lord Greco’s mind, Lia’s, Gabi’s, as well as a brand new character.

Bourne & Tributary is a great bridge between the third and fifth book and does a great job of tying a pretty bow on stories yet unfinished. Both are quick and fun reads and leave you hungry for more!

The Red Review: ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

***5 Stars: Compelling Characters, Well-Written, Interesting Storyline, Unable to Stop, Desire to Re-read

“That was. the thing about Luca. He thought I could do the impossible. And he made me think the same.”
