Lineage of Grace Book Review

Easter is just one day away and I wanted to recommend a book that is not only well-written, full of incredible characters, a book you will not want to put down, and will want to reread once you finish… but also a book that will hoenstly encourage and inspire you own walk with the Lord!

A Lineage of Grace is written by one of my all-time favorite authors, Francine Rivers! It tells the story the story of five average, imperfect women with remarkable faith who were used by God as the lineage of Jesus.

Tamar. Rahab. Ruth. Bathsheba. Mary.

Lineage of Grace

I honestly did not know much about Tamar and the heartbreak she endured, but was encouraged by the redemption and love her life inspired.

I was also encouraged by Rahab, whose own story truly exemplifies the phrase, “faith of a mustard seed”.

The book of Ruth is one of my favorites in the Bible. I have always been fascinated by Ruth, Naomi, and Boaz. I really enjoyed reading as their love and appreciation for one another grew.

Bathsheba was the most eye opening and I enjoyed Francine’s take on her. I am always amazed and humbled how God still used David and Bathsheba despite their sin. He even blessed her by making her own son the next king of Israel.

Last, but certainly not least, Mary, the mother of Jesus who God used to care, love and teach His son on earth. I loved how Francine portrayed Jesus in this book!

All of these women were not perfect and neither were their lives, but their extraordinary faith made them available to be used by God.

The book also contains a six part bible study that you will enjoy!

Lineage of Grace is a GREAT read. May it encourage and inspire your own relationship with God!
