So Many Books… So Little Time!

by Melanie Dickerson

Rating: 4 out of 5.

Broken Expectations. False Pretenses. Truth. Identity. Love. Family.

Golden Braid

Ever since I was a little girl, I have loved the story of Rapunzel. In 2010 when Tangled was released, I was immediately in love. I babysat a little girl once that made me watch it over and over and over… and I was enraptured along with her every time!

So, when I discovered The Golden Braid, I was so excited. This was one of my first Melanie Dickerson novels I read and is one of the many reasons why I love her writing. I literally bought the remainder of the series before I had even finished reading this beautiful retelling.

Rapunzel feels unloved and misplaced. Having been raised by a cruel “mother” who has whispered lies about the outside world (specifically men), Rapunzel is wary. Sir Gerek is a knight seeking great fortune and position through marriage. When their stories become intertwined, their lives are forever changed! Full of adventure and intriguing characters, you will enjoy every page!

Again, I read the book out of order and I would recommend reading the first books before this one, it’ll help with understanding the story better. This is the sixth book in the series. 💸 You can buy ALL the first five on Amazon for $7.99!

If you love confident women, fairytale retellings, knights in shining armor, and mystery… then the Golden Braid is the book for you!

Red Review: ❤️❤️❤️❤️
*** 4 Stars: Compelling Characters, Well-Written, Interesting Storyline, Desire to Re-Read
